Elegant Harbor Breeze 60 inch Fairwind Ceiling Fan

Are you looking for a ceiling fan that incorporates a good air flow with a modern look? Then the Harbor Breeze Fairwind 60 inch ceiling fan is a fan that you should definitely take a look at. I have researched this model thoroughly to give you a comprehensive review along with pricing, and for those of you who need a little help, manuals and assembly instructions. But first let’s consider what price you can expect to pay for the Fairwind ceiling fan by Harbor Breeze.

The Harbor Breeze 60 inch Fairwind ceiling fan has a retail price of $194.98 on Lowes for the galvanized finish with light kit and remote and $179.98 for the white finish with light kit and remote. Lowes no longer sell these two Fairwind models, however, you can still purchase them on other websites, such as SuperArbor. Lowes does sell the brushed nickel model for $145.46.

Please read on further as we delve into the pricing and what you can expect from the Fairwind ceiling fan, including reviews, specifications, manuals, installation, videos and more.

Harbor Breeze 60 inch Fairwind Ceiling Fan Price

You can still find the galvanized and white Fairwind ceiling fans listed on Lowes, but the message ‘This item is no longer sold on Lowes.com’ is displayed. No explanation is given as to why this might be. Even after doing extensive research, we could not find any reason for Lowes to no longer sell these ceiling fans.

However, if you still want to get your hands on this ceiling fan then you can still purchase it from SuperArbo.io, which at the time of writing was being priced at $179.98 for the white model and $188.98 for the galvanized model. The brushed nickel is also being sold on Lowes for $145.46, so if you like the modern look then this is the best deal.

The specifications and reviews can still be found on Lowes, which is good if you would like to do some of your own research. We have summarized the main features and specifications below.

Review of The Fairwind Indoor/ Outdoor Ceiling Fan – Pros & Cons with Ratings

As you can see by the ratings on the left the Harbor Breeze Brushed Nickel 60 inch ceiling fan gets an overall rating of 3.7 stars out of 5 stars coming from 6 reviews.

Only 67% of buying customers would recommend this ceiling fan with 67% giving it a 5 star and 33% giving it a 1 star.

Some have found that the workmanship of this ceiling fan can be faulty at times. For example, some of the motors in the fan have been installed crooked preventing the blades from turning. This is clearly a manufacturing problem.

Some have also found that the remote has stopped working after a few weeks. This can be remedied by checking out our article: Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Remote Trouble Shooting Guide and taking a look at the video below. It could simply be that you will need to re-learn the remote to the fan receiver by going through the learning process. The video in the section Harbor Breeze Fairwind Remote Control Troubleshooting below will explain how to do this.

The Harbor Breeze Fairwind 60 inch ceiling fan does not have a pull chain so you will need to use the remote control to change the fan speed and turn it on or off.

If you choose not to use the remote control and receiver then you can set up your fan with two wall switches, one for the fan and one for the light.

The LED bulb is non-replaceable with a minimum lifespan of five years. Not sure about you, but I would like my ceiling fan to be around longer than five years.

On the positive side, we found that the Fairwind ceiling fan has a very modern slender look and looks great in most settings. It moves a good amount of air and is very easy to install compared to many other ceiling fans.

A nice feature of this fan is that you can install a longer downrod for those higher ceilings. You will need to purchase the longer downrod separately.

We also like the indoor/outdoor rating of the fan meaning we can use it outdoors on the patio.

If your remote control stops working for no apparent reason then it could be a simple matter of going through the re-learning process again by following the instructions in the video above or downloading the manual below.

The remote control can be used to change the fan speed and turn the fan and light on or off. If you want to change the direction of the fan then you will need to use the forward/reverse switch on the fan itself.

The Harbor Breeze Fairwind 60 inch ceiling fan moves a great deal of air and has a very modern slender look. It is easy to install and comes with a learning remote which you can either use or if you prefer set up wall switches. The price is reasonable and comparable to other models however there have been a few manufacturing defects which are maybe why some models are no longer sold.
