The Huntington 3 fan by Hampton Bay has been discontinued for a while by Home Depot stores but does that mean that you cannot get any replacement parts? Does it also mean that the fan light kit that came with the Huntington fan is also discontinued?
The answer to this question is replacement light kits and parts are still available for the Huntington III ceiling fans. This includes the blades and arms for the ceiling fan.
Many of the replacement parts are still available for discontinued ceiling fan models. Please refer to our full in-depth article including recommendations for repairs on Hampton Bay Parts
Of the 16 customer reviews, the Hampton Bay Huntington III ceiling fan was rated 4.2 stars out of 5 stars overall.
A good 88% of customers would recommend this ceiling fan making it a good fan to own.
I have a friend who own 3 of the Huntington III ceiling fans. Two of the fans are the Aged Gold finish and one is the white finish.
The ceiling fans and the light kits are similar, but the lightbulb sockets are different between the two finishes.
The Aged Gold ceiling fan uses the standard lightbulbs and the light fixture being rated at 60 watts. However, the White finish Huntington III ceiling fan uses the little “candelabra” bulbs being rated only 40 watts. My biggest gripe is why they couldn’t use standard bulbs in both models?
My wife was skeptical, to say the least, that I wasnt going to find a good working ceiling fan for under $180.
I went ahead and bought two of these Huntington III fans for our daughter’s bedrooms, without telling her.
I installed them fairly easily and would you believe it she couldn’t believe just how well they functioned! I actually had to get the invoice and show her to prove that I hadn’t paid more than $180 each for the fans.
My wife is a perfectionist, so in saying that I was frightened that the ceiling fans wouldn’t be good enough – but they were!
The lighting from the light kit was very bright giving good illumination, the ceiling fan doesn’t wobble even when on high speed, it just works awesome and it is so beautiful!
One owner said that they had bought four of these ceiling fans almost 10 years ago when they had built their new house in the sunny city of Florida.
So far, they have had only one problem which is that they now need to find a replacement for one of the handheld remote control units because the pushbuttons are beginning to wear and it’s getting harder to make contact.
Every one of the ceiling fans is still working in a “like new” fashion. Overall . . . I have to say that the value, the appearance, the performance and the longevity is just OUTSTANDING!!!
Pros: Very easy to Install, Looks Great, Lights are Very Bright, An Overall Nice Design
Cons: It is discontinued
